While we haven't opened the request forms yet for the program, we are now accepting donations via our PayPal account at NBT@mosaicexperiment.com.

Help make sure that everyone who wants to attend can be included at this year's Mosaic Experiment by being a rock star Burner and paying it forward.

Stories of Celestial Chaos

We’ve been reading so many amazing stories of how your burn was this year and are so thankful that so many of you enjoyed the Celestial Chaos that was Mosaic Experiment 2023.

We’d love to commemorate Mosaic’s 10th Anniversary (that’s right folks, 2023 marked 10 years of Mosaic Experiment!) by telling the story of how the event was planned and, most importantly, what it meant to you, our community.

To do so, we have a big ask as you are unpacking, both literally and figuratively.

Send us a short video of yourself telling us about your experiences this year: what you loved, what you learned, and what it was about our event this year that will stay with you forever. Include any videos or pictures you’d like to have featured (provided you have the consent of everyone in them). We’d also love to get some one on one interviews with you, especially if this was your first burn or even just your first Mosaic, so let us know when we can schedule a Zoom call with you if that’s something you’d be interested in.

Submit your videos, photos, and interview requests by emailing
promotions@mosaicexperiment.com by end of day Friday, October 20th and help us keep the Celestial Chaos alive for years to come!

Mosaic 2023 Gate 101

Listen up and give your undivided attention to our Gate Leads, Squeezie and Zoe, as they give you the details on the must-haves and do-not-brings for a hassle-free journey through Gate and into the world of Celestial Chaos.

Must Have #1: Read the Survival Guide

Before you arrive at the gate, read the Survival Guide. It's like your event manual, covering everything you need to know, from how things work to the most important rules. Find it here. Seriously, read it.

Must Have #2: Legal ID

Your ID is a vital key to the adventure, and it must be a legal ID with your name matching what's on your ticket. If you go by a different name than what's on your ID, we're here to support you. Please send an email to gate@mosaicexperiment.com to ensure that our volunteers don’t use any deadnames while welcoming you Home.

Must Have #3: Secure Your Ticket

Now, onto the topic of tickets. Ensure you have either a physical copy or a saved digital version from Brown Paper Tickets. It’s crucial we’re able to get your ticket info to match it to our records and sometimes phone signals at Reclaim can be as unpredictable as a sudden rain shower on packout day. Make sure you can present your ticket with no cell service.

What NOT to Bring

Now, let's talk about things you shouldn't bring. Leave your pets at home. The only exception to this is if you have an ADA Certified service animal. Say no to lasers, firewood, fireworks, and firearms. Trying to sneak these items in? Our gate crew won't be too happy about it, and neither will you when you have to make another long drive to go drop these items off back home.

COVID-19 Safety

No need to show proof of vaccination this year, but we do strongly recommend having your Covid booster and flu shots current. Additionally, we strongly encourage you to practice Civic Responsibility and do a Covid-19 self-test before coming. The safety of the community and those back home is our priority. If you feel sick or test positive, be responsible: don’t come to the event.

Now that you know the basics of Gate, get packing! We can’t wait to welcome you back Home to the Razorgrass for Mosaic Experiment 2023: Celestial Chaos!

Need-Based Tickets Program Re-Opening for Requests on Thursday, 9/21/23

Due to a surplus of unclaimed funds, the NBT program is RE-OPENING to a limited number of requests Thursday 9/21 at NOON EST.

To make a request, fill out the NBT Request Form ONCE IT HAS RE-OPENED. The form will not be open if you click on it before this Thursday at noon EST.

Form Link: https://form.jotform.com/221355443563151

Requests will be met in the order they are received until remaining funds are utilized. We expect to be able to meet between 2-5 additional requests, depending on the level of funding requested.

If your request can be met, you will be notified ASAP and have TWELVE (12) hours to respond and accept your request. Offers will be sent via email beginning at 5pm on Thursday and will be sent through Saturday morning or until funds run out.

Mosaic Experiment 2023: Celestial Chaos Map is Live!

The moment you've been eagerly anticipating is finally here: the 2023 Placement Map is now available for your perusal! As we gear up for this year's event, we're excited to provide you with the tools you need to make the most of your experience. Let's dive right into the details.

Access the Map

You can access the event map by visiting the 2023 Placement Map page or simply clicking here. This interactive map is your ticket to discovering the event layout, locating your favorite theme camps, art installations, and much more.

Mobility Shuttle Stops

In addition to the map release, we have some exciting news about mobility shuttle stops. For those who rely on our mobility shuttle service, we've designated specific stops to ensure your Celestial Chaos experience is as seamless as possible. Here are the theme camps with designated mobility shuttle stops:

  • Paradigm Shifters

  • TACO/Pirate Bae

  • Break-xodus

  • Temple/Camp Pretty Lights

  • COT13U

  • Entrance to the Back 40/Wayward Tea house

  • The * Ranch

  • Squirrel Corner/First Fires

  • Dept. of Creative Compliments/Bureau of Random Snacks

We kindly request that theme camps provide seating for at least two people at these stops. While shelter over the stops is not mandatory, it would be greatly appreciated, especially in case of rain.

Special Mobility Stop at the Effigy

On Saturday evening, starting from 4 pm until TBD, we will have an additional mobility stop at the Effigy. This stop is for those who need a ride to and from the event. It's our way of ensuring you can fully enjoy the event without any transportation worries.

Open Camping Areas for Mobility Shuttle Access

If your theme camp didn't receive an official stop but you'd like to establish one, you can! Simply provide seating for two people in the direction of the shuttle route, which goes counterclockwise. Individuals needing a ride should be ready to flag down the mobility shuttle as it passes by.

Please note that the mobility shuttle won't venture into the Back 40 due to muddy conditions. For anyone with accessible needs who isn't with a theme camp or RV/car camping and plans to open camp, we've designated open camping areas in front of the Back 40 for your convenience. Feel free to camp in these areas to ensure easy access to the mobility shuttle.

Open Camping Areas for Everyone

The open camping areas before the Back 40, as indicated on the map, are available for all to use. So, if you prefer open camping, you're more than welcome to utilize these spaces.

We appreciate your enthusiasm as we reveal the 2023 Placement Map, your indispensable tool for exploring and experiencing the wonders that await at this year's event.

Thank you for being part of our vibrant community, and we can't wait to see you at Mosaic Experiment 2023: Celestial Chaos!

Join the Conversation in Shaping Mosaic's Consent Team Evolution

The Consent Team is seeking community participation in our public vetting process. We are looking to add one Response Team member ahead of this year's event, Luke Elias, AKA Pumpkin. In addition, Jill LeighAnn remains on the Response Team, and current Response Team member Dannie Horton (that's me!) is stepping into the role of co-lead alongside Naomi Belanger, AKA Bunikat. Your feedback helps increase the odds that team members are always folks that the community trusts. Please let us know what you think here: https://forms.gle/CTuALDmZpfj5Qchg6. Responses will be collected through this Friday (9/22).

We'd also like to open up a broader dialogue with the community about what our focus should be, how our priorities should be shifting, and how we can best create more safety and trust in our process moving forward.

This is the first event in which the consent team will consist entirely of non-founding members, and we've heard some really important questions being raised since we've stepped into our roles. Folks are asking how we can best handle reports for incidents that happen outside of Mosaic, who on our team should be part of the community vetting process, and how we can create a more streamlined process to resolve reports with more timeliness.

Before we make any changes on our end we really want to bring in your voices and let the community steer our evolution as much as possible. We're going to put out an invitation shortly after this year's event to join us for a community call. If you have opinions, criticisms, or hopes for what's possible regarding how we can best serve the community, we'd really like to hear from you.

And, as always... This is a volunteer-led effort that is run by the community. If you're super passionate about this work and want to figure out ways to help write our next chapter, please consider volunteering with us! We're a tiny team that is doing important work, and we would love to welcome more of you into shaping our process from within the team.
