Need-Based Ticket Program

You’ve heard about NFT’s but what about NBT’s?  NBT stands for Mosaic Experiment’s Need-Based Ticket program. This program is essentially a merging of the former Low-Income Ticket program and the Gift-Ticket Match Up program in 2021 and was wildly successful in 2022 and 2023. The program is dual funded by a pool of reduced price tickets set aside by Mosaic Experiment and community donations.

The NBT program allows for flexibility in responding to fluctuating community needs.  When needs are high, the program will be able to facilitate funding more reduced price tickets than what the organization could afford to set aside purely on its own thanks to the addition of community donations. In addition, this program provides the flexibility to meet varied levels of need.  While one participant may be able to afford a ticket at $20 off the original cost, another participant may not be able to attend unless their ticket is fully funded.  Community members are encouraged to request the level of assistance that would make a ticket accessible for them based on their unique needs.

NBT program tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.

Requests

If you would like to make a request for ticket funding assistance, please fill out the Need-Based Ticket Request & Donation Form.  Once your request is matched with a ticket you will be emailed instructions regarding how to proceed.  For this reason it is imperative that you provide your best contact info when filling out the request form.

Please know that although our goal is to meet all requests, NBT’s are not guaranteed.  If funds are exhausted and requests remain, program facilitators will call out to the community for donations until those requests are met or until tickets are sold out.  If it appears as though tickets will sell out before all requests are met, program facilitators will notify the remaining requesters of this possibility before tickets sell out.

In order to not leave any requests in limbo, the program will stop accepting requests on Tuesday August 20th.  If it appears as though tickets will sell out sooner, program facilitators reserve the right to stop accepting requests early.

Requests will be fixed to the ticket tier price at the date of their submission.  See the Ticketing page for pricing details.

Do not purchase a standard ticket after making an NBT request.  If your request cannot be met or if tickets are approaching selling out, you will have an opportunity through the program to purchase a ticket at the tier price your request is fixed to.  If you purchase a standard ticket before the program closes, it will be assumed you no longer need the requested funding and your request will be removed from the queue.

All adults must submit their own individual NBT requests.  Requests for multiple tickets may only be made by an adult requesting additional tickets for children they are responsible for ages 13-17.  Tickets for children 12 years old and under are free.

All official program correspondence will be conducted via email.  Requestors will receive regular updates with where their request is in the queue.  If their request is met, they will generally have two weeks to follow the emailed instructions to purchase their NBT ticket.  The window to act may be shortened as the program approaches its closing date.

Participants making a request for needs-based tickets are encouraged to make their request as early as possible.  Requests will be met in the order they are received.

NBT program tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.

Donations

If you would like to donate towards the program, you can send your donation directly to NBT@mosaicexperiment.com on PayPal.  If you would like to donate an entire already purchased ticket or would like to provide additional information regarding your intended donation, please fill out the Need-Based Ticket Request & Donation Form.

Donations sent directly to the NBT PayPal will be paired with the next available request.  If all requests are met and the program closes, these donations will be kept in a donation pool and applied to next year’s requests.

Donations pledged through the form will NOT be collected until donors are paired with a request.  For this reason it is imperative that donors provide their best contact info when filling out the form.  If we have requests that can utilize the intended funds, program facilitators will reach out via email with further instructions.  If we do not receive a match for your intended donation by the time the program closes, we encourage you to find another way to pass the intended funds along to the community.

Although we understand life sometimes throws curveballs, please make your best effort to only pledge an amount you are reasonably sure you will be able to commit to between now and when the program closes. This will assist program facilitators by providing them a relatively accurate view of the ongoing requests to donations ratio.

The NBT program will stop accepting donations on Tuesday September 17th.
