Description:
The web lead maintains the digital platforms operated by Mosaic Experiment, such as the mosaicexperiment.com website and the Discord server.
Helpful skills:
Web Design (html, javascript, css, markdown, etc)
Discord
Jotform
Google Drive
Written Communication
Proofreading
Required skills:
Willingness, in absence of any of the aforementioned skills, to google it and figure shit out.
Other departments you will work with:
Promotion to post news stories on the front page
Ticketing, Art Grant and Volunteer Coordination to create, update and post registration forms
TACO to provide the web lead with a dedicated golf cart, which is absolutely vital no matter what they say
All Departments to update their respective Lead Descriptions (pestering may be required)
Year-round:
Review information on the website and ensure it is accurate and up-to-date
Look for ways to improve the website in terms of layout, design, style, etc.
Moderate and provide assistance in the Discord server
Attend regular MOrg conference calls
Pre-event responsibilities:
Update the front page with event artwork when available
Work with other departments to create/update registration forms and add them to the website
Update registration page with links to forms as they become available/active
Update the Survival Guide and FAQ with relevant information
Remove/disable registration form links as deadlines are reached
On-site responsibilities:
Relax
Make other leads super jealous that you have nothing to do
Feel slightly guilty about the previous bullet point and volunteer for another department
Take cool photos to use as headers for the website
Post-event responsibilities:
Update language on the website to reflect that the event is over
